Lucca Bike 2011&Gran Fondo Mario Cipollini

The first Lucca Bike fair will take place from 2nd to 5th June 2011, and on the opening day cyclists will race the Gran Fondo Mario Cipollini.

prize. The event attracts cyclers and experts from all over the country, snd is divided into three areas: ana exhibit area, a sports area and a touristic one. The exhibit will take place in the halls of the trade fairground, here you'll find bicycles and accessories of every sort: a complete outlook on the products and the market, and a special care for the new products.

The sports event will see the participation of the champion Mario Cipolini, with his experience and passion. The tourist side of the fair is committed to spreading the idea of bicycles an eco-friendly mean of transport, useful for short travels, catching on among the people, also thanks to the increasing number of bicycle paths in Italy and particularly in Lucca, with more than 44 Km. of paths.

Lucca Bike 2011 includes also meetings and conventions open to the public: a special attention will be paid to the educational side of the bicycle, cooperating with schools of the territory which are involved with different events.

The race Gran Fondo Mario Cipollini will unravel along the roads of the territory: the features of this race give the cyclist the possibility to choose his favorite challenge: short, middle or long distance.
