The town of Asciano is located in the area of Siena, at 200 meters a.s.l., and has a population of around 6.500 people.

In the town of Asciano, founded in the IX century, one can admire the Churches of Saint Francis, of Saint'Agostino and Saint Polito, Tolomei Palace and the Wheat Square; while near this town, you can visit the Abbey of Rofeno, the "Romitorio", and the Etruscan Museum inaugurated on the 1959.
